Now dubbed as one of the world’s stylish fashion icons, Kate Middleton reportedly brought an astonishing £1 Billion in sales to the British economy and has more influence than any other celebrity in the country’s pop culture. The Duchess’ “Kate Effect” proves that she can sell anything she wears thanks to her legions of copycats.

“It emerged earlier this year that the Duchess of Cambridge's style choices has brought an astounding £1billion into the ailing British economy, eclipsing anything generated by supermodels, music stars and even Oscar winners (and that's no easy feat),” according to Grazia. “What we do know is when Kate wears it, it sells.”

Grazia’s team found out that certain items that the Duchess of Cambridge wore will have their sales increased by 100 per cent. Pregnant Kate Middleton was seen wearing a zipkin-style knee high boots from Russell and Bromley, and the company’s sales shot up by an astounding 663 per cent, same as what happened when she wore a Burberry coat and the sales of the piece went up by 300 per cent.

Based on the publication’s “Kateonomics” and compiled summary of the Duchess effect on sales, Kate Middleton’s dresses has been spotted on TOWIE cast members while Amy Child was photographed wearing the same lace dress that Kate wore during Gary Barlow’s charity gig. Just recently, Kate was seen wearing a Madderson London “Naomi” frock with a navy, white and pink tweed-patterned trim and thanks to Kate the brand’s website crashed because of too much activity.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton was spotted running errands over the weekend covering her baby bump with Beulah London’s grey heart-printed jumper. The “Delaney” jumper is now completely sold out online confirmed by Beulah London to HELLO! right after the picture of Kate appeared in an international newspaper.

A big fan of the brand, Kate was also wearing Beulah London’s black lace dress during her latest trip in New York City with Prince William. Founded in 2010 by Natasha Rufus and Lavinia Brennan, the two designers revealed in the publication in 2013 that it’s “great to see famous people in our clothes.”
