The media has been keeping watch on the Duchess of Cambridge’s second pregnancy. Kate Middleton is only days away from seeing her newborn, with reports claiming she will give birth on April 25. When the baby is born, Kate and Prince William will have their hands full of below two-year old children. According to Kim Friedman, Prince George will especially find it difficult to adjust to baby no. 2 when it arrives.

American television director and producer Kim Friedman chatted with People to give the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge some tips on how to take care of two little children. Among the tips she wants them to consider is how Prince George would react to his new sibling when baby no.2 becomes a member of the royal family. Kate Middleton and Prince William will reportedly have to be prepared especially when Prince George will have trouble adjusting to the new baby. "When he understands that baby is not leaving – that it'll keep taking his toys, throwing up on his toys, whatever – he's gonna have some problems,” she said.

Friedman said two-year olds tend to have “temper tantrums” and “meltdowns” and Prince George being at this age may “hit and scream at the new baby.” So it’s reportedly advisable that he keeps his hands clean at all times in case he “tries to attack” baby no. 2 so the latter is free from germs.

The Telegraph quoted educational psychologist Gaynor Sbuttoni, who said that firstborns may find it “quite painful” to see their parents’ attention diverted to the second child. That’s why it’s important for them not to forget to acknowledge their firstborn’s feelings. For Kate Middleton and Prince William, Friedman said they should never forget about Prince George, especially when he may get jealous with all the attention and gifts baby no. 2 would be getting.

Kim Friedman suggested that Kate Middleton and Prince William should have a separate gift to give to Prince George every time his baby sibling receives a present. “When people come to give the new baby gifts, have a closet full of gifts wrapped up and ready for George," she said. This way when someone hands the new baby with gifts, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also have one to give to their firsborn.
