When a The Duchess met a cancer patient at the Royal Marsden Hospital last week, she made sure to write a letter to this boy and Catherine surely delivered her promise.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Royal Marsden Hospital on Sept.29, Catherine met a cancer patient named Fabian, who asked the Duchess if she could write a letter on his blog. The 8-year-old simply said the future Queen that it will make him happy if she does so; being the amicable person that she is, Catherine agreed to do the favor.

In a recent post, it was reported that Catherine sure did deliver her promise.

"I was so touched by your strength of character. I will keep my fingers crossed that your health goes from strength to strength" wrote the Duchess in the letter, together with her signature and Fabian's name.

According to Fabian's father, the child is "more than thrilled" to have read the signed letter, and is now considering it as the pride of their house. Catherine's letter came just in time as Fabian is set to have a bone marrow transfer the next day he received the letter, lifting his spirits up with the Duchess' kind words.

"She really personalised it and obviously remembered him." said Darrell, Fabian's 47-year-old father in the same report.
