Fashion designer Amaia Arrieta, owner of Amaia Kids boutique in Chelsea, has some very nice things to say about the Duchess of Cambridge after their first encounter. The Spanish businesswoman recalled how Kate Middleton was so nice and very normal when Kate first met her at her boutique.

In an exclusive interview with Hello Magazine’s sister publication HOLA.com, Amaia Arrieta recalled that when Kate Middleton first visited Amaia Kids she was with her mother, Carole. "It was quite funny because she said, 'I've just had a baby and I'm a little lost. Would you be able to help me?'" she said.

Amaia said everyone in the boutique had already known their customer was none other than the Duchess of Cambridge. But Kate reportedly surprised them since she acted normal and natural. Apparently, Kate must have liked the service from the boutique since she has reportedly been coming back to buy her children’s clothes.

"She usually comes alone and although we show her everything we have in the size she needs, she usually knows what she wants,” Amaia said. Kate Middleton was reportedly “very decisive” in her choices of clothes but at times allowed the boutique staff to make some suggestions. “She's very charming, very normal and very sweet,” Amaia added.

The first time the Duchess of Cambridge visited Amaia Kids she had bought pair of knee-high socks and a navy blue knitted cardigan. These were among the clothes Prince George wore for his first official Christmas portraits released back in December. According to Glamour UK, the photos were taken back in November in the courtyard at the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s home at Kensington Palace.

The last time Kate Middleton reportedly visited Amaia Kids was when she was still three weeks pregnant with her second child, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. Amaia said she had had bought three shirts, two pairs of shorts and long socks. According to Hello Magazine, aside from the Duchess of Cambridge, Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Sienna Miller and Claudia Schiffer are also loyal customers of Amaia Kids.
