Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth are reportedly fighting with each other, once again. According to the reports swirling around, the Duchess of Cambridge disregarded the age-old traditions of royal family on Christmas Day. Apparently, Kate Middleton's decision has reportedly upset Her Majesty and caused tension between the two royals.

In its Jan. 19, 2014 issue, Life & Style magazine broke the news. Citing the claims of the aforementioned magazine, Inquisitr is reporting that Kate Middleton has hurt and "angered" Queen Elizabeth by going against "the royal protocol" on the big day of Christmas celebration.

According to the media report, the Duchess of Cambridge, who is pregnant with her second child, went against the royal customs and traditions and invited her family, including her parents Michael and Carole Middleton, her siblings Pippa and James Middleton to spend the day with her, Prince William and Prince George. Prince William and Kate Middleton retreated to their Norfolk residence, Anmer Hall, for the Christmas Day celebration.

This was quite unusual for the entire royal family that usually spends the holidays with Queen Elizabeth at her Sandringham estate. It is reported that Kate Middleton went as far as inviting Middletons to St. Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day.

The cover page of the magazine reads: "Humiliated by the Queen-Fed-up Kate Fights Back." Furthermore, it states that "the Queen insults Kate's family and criticizes her weight" and "Kate's revenge shocks the royals."

Inquisitr notes that Kate Middleton decided to disobey the traditions this time only because Queen Elizabeth has not been very "hospitable" towards the Middletons in the past. As revealed by the insider, the 88-year-old monarch "banned the Middletons from staying at Sandringham even though she has plenty of room for them." Furthermore, the source claims that Kate Middleton's grandmother-in-law "ruined Christmas" for her.

According to the report, "the source from the palace" claims that Queen Elizabeth has criticized Kate Middleton over her weight issues and eating habits. "The queen has told Kate to gain weight, but Kate says she would if she could! The constant nagging is not helpful," the insider claims.

Previously, People claimed that Middletons did join the royal family for the traditional Christmas celebration. As noted in the report, the Duchess' family attended the morning Christmas mass and also stayed with them in their new Anmer Hall residence. As stated in the report, "this request would have come from [Prince] William.

However, it must be noted that that the reports lack official comments from the associated persons. Thus it remains unconfirmed. Furthermore, it is not the first time the magazine has reported about tension between Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth. In one of its July 2014 edition, the Life & Style magazine reported that Queen Elizabeth is "coming down hard on Kate for her 'excessive overspending'" for refurbishing Anmer Hall residence. These reports are quite contradictory to the report wherein the royal palace courtier claimed that the Queen Elizabeth regards Kate Middleton "as the perfect partner for William," as quoted by Express UK.
