Kate Middleton continues with public appearances following her recent bout of pregnancy sickness. Despite being on her second trimester in her second pregnancy, the Duchess of Cambridge maintains to look regal during royal engagements. Few speculated she had hired a new stylist to amp up her maternity wardrobe. However, a recent report says otherwise, claiming Kate has all the decisions when it comes to her fashion style.

Pregnant Kate Middleton's return to public appearances after a severe case of Hyperemesis Gravidarum was marked with "sexy style choices" for her wardrobe. According to the International Business Times, the Duchess of Cambridge even turned heads when she attended the "Action on Addiction Gala" on Oct. 23 with her sheer, see-through black dress. A couple of nights before, she wore a thigh-slit gown that revealed her legs. Her personal assistant, Natasha Archer, was believed to have been behind the Duchess' fashion transformation as Kate's new stylist. A source even told Vanity Fair that Archer "has persuaded Kate to take some more risks," including having Kate wear shorter hemlines as a way of "pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes."

However, The Daily Beast contests Kate Middleton did not hire a new stylist. Royal sources have supposedly also confirmed that the Duchess chooses her own maternity wardrobe.

"She instead continues to rely largely on her own judgment while taking advice from some astutely focused fashion eyes such as Sarah Burton at McQueen, the Gucci head of PR Bella Musgrave, her good friend (and George's godmother) Emilia Jardine-Paterson," writer Tom Sykes said.

A courtier of her clothing selections reportedly also said that Kate Middleton is very hands-on in making wardrobe decisions herself. Additionally, Glamour Magazine claims the Duchess or even Queen Elizabeth II has the final say on what Kate wears to royal engagements. Natasha, or "Tash" as she's known in Kensington Palace, is merely helping out, says the publication.

It's believed Kate Middleton's wardrobe choices for her second pregnancy are a mother's instinct. According to IBTimes, the Duchess of Cambridge has been wearing a lot of blue lately, which hints she could be pregnant with another boy. However, the Duchess of Cambridge and husband Prince William are being patient when it comes to the gender of their second child. Sources claim the couple wants to be surprised instead.
