Kate Middleton surprised the media on her return to public appearances following the announcement of her second pregnancy on September 8. The Duchess of Cambridge wowed the public with the "sexy" dresses she wore during her royal engagements. According to a recent report, she is supposedly trying her best to appear sexy despite being pregnant.

Kate Middleton is said to be past her first trimester in her second pregnancy. However, according to Inquisitr writer Jonathan Vankin the Duchess of Cambridge is "desperate to look sexy" despite being pregnant.

The Duchess of Cambridge marked her return to royal engagements with a change in wardrobe, described by E! Online as "sexy style choices." On October 23, Kate Middleton wore a sheer, see-through black dress. According to Life & Style, the dress turned heads when she wore it for an evening engagement at the "Action on Addiction Gala." A couple of nights earlier, she wore a blue dress with a thigh slit that showed her enviable legs.

Her change in wardrobe is reportedly influenced by her new stylist. According to Vanity Fair, the Duchess' personal assistant, Natasha Archer, has been Kate Middleton's stylist since her return to public appearances. Sources claimed the 27-year-old, who goes by the name of "Tash," has been helping pregnant Kate experiment with some sophisticated new styles. "She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes," a friend of Tash told the publication.

However, few claimed Kate Middleton's turn for above-the-knee hemlines and risqué dresses could allegedly also be a form of defiance against Queen Elizabeth. The latter reportedly ordered the Duchess of Cambridge to have a wardrobe makeover. The 32-year-old was supposedly asked by the queen to wear below-the-knee dresses, those that don't showcase her legs.

According to Life & Style, even New York Magazine described Kate Middleton as "rebellious" for displaying her knees. Prior to having Natasha Archer for her stylist, the Duchess was believed to have been styled by Queen Elizabeth's personal dresser, Angela Kelly. The latter's choice of wardrobe for the Duchess of Cambridge were said to be more on the lower hemlines compared with what Kate has been wearing lately.

However, Kate Middleton may not be trying to rebel nor trying desperately to be sexy. According to E! Online, her change of wardrobe is nothing out of the ordinary. The Duchess of Cambridge's only change in appearance is believed to be her pregnancy glow.
