Kate Middleton was away from the public eye for last two months. Ever since the big announcement of her second pregnancy was made, the Duchess of Cambridge was battling extreme morning sickness and hiding behind the doors of the palace. On Oct. 21, 2014, the royal made a comeback in stunning attire and with a tiny baby bump as it looked like she is now recovering from hypermesis gravidarum. However, she reportedly suffered another wardrobe malfunction.

On Tuesday, Kate Middleton joined Prince William to welcome the President of the Republic of Singapore Tony Tan Keng Yam and his wife Mary. The Duke and the Duchess received them at Royal Garden Hotel, London.

According to the Us Weekly, during the function, Kate Middleton was dressed in a tartan topper by Alexander McQueen when she suffered a "Marilyn Monroe moment." Her ensemble also included Jane Taylor hat, Jenny Peckham clutch, earrings by Annoushka and Prada pumps.

The report notes that strong winds blew up her skirt, but her black underskirt saved her from exposing too much. However, she couldn't prevent from showing off her tiny baby bump from her second pregnancy to the world for the first time.

This wasn't as serious a wardrobe malfunction as she suffered in May, 2014 during her royal tour to Australia and New Zealand. According to Daily Mail, Germany's tabloid Bild am Sonntag published the photos of the Duchess and created quite a stir in the press. In 2011, in Calgary, another wardrobe malfunction left Kate Middleton's backside exposed, according to Hollywood Life.

Meanwhile, it is known that this was Duchess' first appearance since the announcement of her second pregnancy on Sept. 8, 2014. Prior to this she attended poppy installation at London tower on Aug.5, 2014. Since then, Kate Middleton has been battling pregnancy complication that causes the expectant mothers to vomit and feel nauseous to the extent that they experience weight loss and dehydration.

Kate Middleton has been under the supervision of royal surgeons like Alan Farthing. She was reportedly bedridden for a while. During her meeting with Singaporean President, the royal mother looked like she is recovering and excited to resume her royal duties.

"I've been looking forward to getting out of the house," Kate Middleton joked with her guest.

After the ceremonial welcome of Singapore President to England, Kate Middleton attended Wildlife, Photographer of the Year 2014 Award ceremony held at the Natural History Museum. On Oct. 20, 2014, Kate Middleton's due date was revealed by the palace. According to Telegraph UK, the Kensington Palace announced that the Duchess will give birth to her second royal baby in April 2015. While she has entered her second trimester, Kate Middleton's health is "steadily improving."
