If ever issues regarding her children’s mental health arise, Kate Middleton says that she and husband Prince William will not hesitate at all to get expert help if the time comes that George and Charlotte needed it. The Duchess of Cambridge made a statement Sunday pushing parents to be more understanding with supporting their children’s mental health and not to be fearful of seeking help.

Kate helped launch a series of podcasts which are made to help parents understand the mental health of their children. She said that with sufficient assistance, children who could be having these issues “have a good chance of overcoming them while they are still young and can have the bright future they deserve” says a post in People.

The podcasts, which are to be launched in the coming Sunday, are produced by the British charity Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families. The series will be titled “Child in Mind.”

The show will be in 20-minute episodes, each of which will fully discuss children’s mental health with an expert, as well as with a parent and child. The Duchess of Cambridge describes the podcasts as illustrative that “many of the therapies are actually very simple” and practical that involve the participation of the whole family to assist children in making sense of their environment.

She also pointed out that one of three adults would still be embarrassed or uncomfortable in seeking professional help for their children’s mental health. In justifying the need to address this, the Royal Duchess says that there could be no parent who would be hesitant “to call the doctor if their child developed a fever.”

Kate adds that so many children have been “tackling tough times without the support that can help them” since the adults who they depend on are too scared to ask, says a post in In Style.

Kate has been in an ongoing campaign for mental well being of young people, which she has been working on for much of her public life. She is part of the “Heads Together” initiative with the help of her husband and brother-in-law, Princes William and Harry. The campaign combines talents and voices of charities that pool in their effort in working on the area.
