The Duchess of Cambridge expressed how happy she is with the birth of Reese Witherspoon's child by sending a Union Jack onesie as a present.

New best friends, Kate Middleton and Reese Witherspoon, seem to be keeping their friendship tight. Upon hearing the news of Reese's birth, the Duchess sent a cute little Union Jack-designed onesie for the actress' little one.

Witherspoon and the Duchess met during the Royal Couple's North American tour last summer and instantly clicked during a luncheon. Many photos were snapped where the two shared chats and laughs and it was obvious a friendship followed afterwards.

When asked about meeting the Duchess during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Reese expressed her nerves and talked about how she wanted to present herself in front of the princess.

"I must have tried on, like, six outfits. I'm meeting a princess. You don't understand. You have to be wearing the right outfit and the whole thing." said the actress.

In the same interview, the new mom also attested to Kate Middleton's demure and composed personality when she finally got to meet the royal.

"She was really nice. She was lovely. She's so composed. She seems like such a lady and I think it's so nice nowadays to see someone with such nice composure and carries herself so beautifully."
