With her first solo trip to Malta that will kick off this month, Kate Middleton is reported to cancel her trip to visit Queen Elizabeth in Balmoral Castle with Prince George and Prince William. With so many rumours surrounding the Duchess and the Queen, new reports are claiming that she went shopping in London for her upcoming trip and Prince Harry's 30th birthday bash instead of keeping their previous plan.

Currently, she is still taking their month-long vacation, the Cambridges are busy planning for Prince Harry's birthday party and preparing for their upcoming trip in Italy. Based on life & Style last Sept. 15 print edition, the Duchess of Cambridge have three major events this month that she cannot squeeze in some time to visit the 88-year-old monarch.

Following the baby bump speculation after her alleged miscarriage, Kate never failed to make headlines especially her relationship with the Queen. It is not the first time that two are rumored to be in a shaky relationship, Kate always looks up to the Queen and even gets fashion advice from her.

Meanwhile, the Queen will pass the record set by her grand-mother, Queen Victoria, as she is set to become the longest ever reigning monarch on Sept. 9, 2015. Based on Buckingham palace spokesman, the Queen usually spends the month of September in Balmoral and she will be keeping this tradition next year after she reaches the landmark date of 89.

"It shows that our female monarchs last the longest. The Queen's longevity is a great source of her strength and popularity. She has lived through World War II and throughout the 20th century," according to historian, Dr. Kate Williams. "Many people will not have known a different monarch. We saw her huge popularity in the Golden Jubilee and even more so in the Diamond Jubilee. We're very used to her."

Queen Victoria assumed the role in the throne when she was 18 while Queen Elizabeth became the head of the monarchy when she was 25 after the death of her father King George VI in 1952. With Prince Philip at her side, the Queen has lived World War II and enjoyed the fruits of her governance throughout the 20th century.

Spokespersons for Queen Elizabeth and Kate Middleton had not commented on the claims made by Life & Style magazine.
