Sources close to Kate Middleton have reportedly already confirmed her second baby's gender. The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to give birth in April 2015 to a baby girl, and Kate couldn't be happier. She is believed to even be thrilled over having a girl this time. However, having a sister for Prince George would supposedly be something Prince William will need to adjust to.

According to Woman's Day, Kate Middleton and Prince William are bound to release an official statement soon to confirm their second baby's gender. However, even before the royal announcement, sources have already confirmed that the Duchess of Cambridge is overjoyed over having a baby girl.

"Kate's ecstatic. She always hoped number two would be a girl, and having it confirmed has given her a huge boost," a source tells the publication.

The same source supposedly also confirmed that the nurseries at Kensington Palace, as well as those in Anmer Hall, have already been decorated with shades of pink to welcome the baby. However, while Kate is overjoyed over having a daughter, Prince William, on the other hand, may allegedly find the thought rather frightening.

According to Woman's Day, the Duke of Cambridge was practically raised in a family of boys, so having a baby girl will supposedly likely be a daunting experience for Prince William. Even his brother, Prince Harry, once joked of William having to "suffer" over having a daughter. "He'll suffer...I'd love to see him cope with that," he joked.

Kate Middleton may not be the only royal member thrilled to welcome a baby girl. Prince Charles once cited his preference for a granddaughter when asked on the second baby's gender. Back in September while at his charity event for the Prince's Trust, the 65-year-old expressed his excitement over being a grandfather again. However, according to People, he had also wished for a "girl this time" for the Duchess' second child.

The Duchess of Cambridge supposedly suspected she was having a baby girl when she started craving sweets. Her mother, Carole Middleton, reportedly also had the same cravings when pregnant with Pippa and Kate. According to Woman's Day, a palace source even likened the Duchess to a "kid in a candy store" because of her desire to eat anything sweet especially raspberry ripple ice cream.
