Kate Middleton has been out of the public eye recently following the baptism of Princess Charlotte as she’s been spending most of her time with her two children in Anmer Hall. However, the Duchess of Cambridge made a rare public appearance on Sunday as she steps out for mass with her husband, Prince William, in Scotland.

A photo shared by Mirror UK shows Kate Middleton smiling inside their Range Rover as she and the Duke of Cambridge heads to mass. The duchess has missed several events after Princess Charlotte’s baptism that a change in her hairstyle was noticeable. Kate debuted her new parted fringe with a black turtle neck top.

According to the site, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were photographed driving along a convoy of cars as they drove from Balmoral Castle. The parents left their two children at home while they head off to Crathie Kirk mass.

EOnline reports Kate is soon expected to return to her royal duties starting with a visit to the Anna Freud Centre, a charity that caters to children with mental health problems. The duchess will reportedly also be visiting its school in London this week.

Kate Middleton and Prince William will also be having their 2016 royal tour together and it’s believed the Caribbean is among the many places they will visit. The couple are reportedly still undecided on where they would go but a senior royal aide claimed the Caribbean is a “strong contender.”

"We are aware of the report about the Caribbean, but the location is yet to be decided. There are other considerations, such as where the Foreign Office – who have a big say on these matters – want them to go,” the royal aide said.

The royal aide further claimed that Kate and William are thinking of doing either a spring or autumn tour but it’s supposedly likely they will do both. However, those hoping to see Prince George and Princess Charlotte during their 2016 international tour will be up for a disappointment. According to the royal aide, it’s unlikely the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will bring their two children along on the tour.
