The Duchess might have not reigned over the British Fashion awards, but she sure did wow Buckingham palace guests in an emerald green dress from Mulberry.

It's not too long from now that The Duchess will start to appear by herself and face the media without the aid of her husband, Prince William. She proved that all the "princess tutorials" paid off as she charmed media guests at the Buckingham palace in a lovely vintage-inspired silk dress by Mulberry.

The vibrant green hue of the Mulberry dress looked perfect with The Duchess' rich and bouncy brown hair, not to mention that the dress complemented her deep, green eyes. Middleton was all smiles as she talked to the guests and answered questions during the reception of the gathering.

The silk vintage-inspired dress belonged to Mulberry's Fall 2011 ready-to-wear collection, and The Duchess was the first public figure or celebrity to wear this creation in an event. Maybe Middleton is already setting the trends this season, with the color green being one of the prominent fads this fall.
