In "The Vampire Diaires," Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) initially hated each other but the two characters started to bond in season 6 when they were stuck in 1994. Actress Kat Graham recently admitted in an interview that she and co-star Ian Somerhalder also hated each other during the pilot season of the CW TV series back in 2009.

TVD cast member Kat Graham revealed during an exclusive interview with AOL about hating actor Ian Somerhalder when the two of them started to work together in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 1. "Ian and I used to not like each other at all. We hated each other first season," the 25-year-old actress confessed.

Now, Kat Graham explains that the 35-year-old heartthrob actor is her best friend in the TVD cast. The actress believes that Ian Somerhalder will be one of her closest friends in 30 years.

When asked why they hated each other, Kat Graham explained that it has something to do with maturity because she was still young when they started the show and she was a very strong person just like Ian Somerhalder. The TVD star revealed that she was still finding herself that time and it was Ian Somerhalder who eventually helped her find what she was looking for and became a great inspiration.

Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder are now close both on- and off-screen which is why some TVD fans support the new Damon-Bonnie or "Bamon" relationship in the CW TV series. Another co-star that Kat Graham wants to spend more time with in "The Vampire Diaries" is actor Michael Trevino, who portrays Tyler Lockwood in the supernatural TV show.

According to Kat Graham, she has known Michael Trevino for 10 years and she hopes that the 29-year-old actor will be someone she spends more time with in the series after six seasons. However, the actress is aware that the dynamics of the TVD characters is based on how the team is writing the storylines. "If I'm doing more scenes with one person, I might be closer with them," Graham explained.

Kat Graham may be busy filming scenes for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 as Bonnie Bennett but the actress finds time to also work on her music career. The TVD star has a new single scheduled to be released in February 2015.

The actress shared that she is learning how to balance her two different careers by finding out the kind of person she wants to be. "As long as I'm connecting with people with 'Vampire Diaries' or music -- that is the balance. Connecting to people is what creates that balance," Graham further added.

Watch Kat Graham as witch Bonnie Bennett in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 which airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
