Pop Crush says Justin’s new track is somewhat reminiscent to “Where Are U Now,” his hit music collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex. The bouncy beat and the synth-generated flute sounds heard in the song is said to be typical of a “tropical house” genre.

Justin reveals his inspiration for the first track taken from his forthcoming album during a previous interview with “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on iHeartRadio .

“Girls are often flip-floppy. They say something, and then they mean something else. ‘What do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking,” Bieber says.

Justin will be revealing “What Do You Mean”on Friday, before the 2015 MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday. Billboard says the singer will be performing his new single at the VMAs. It would reportedly be his first appearance at the awards since his medley performance of his songs “Somebody to Love,” “U Smile” and “Baby” in 2010.
