Justin Bieber, infamous for his “bad boy image,” has found himself in the hot seat once again. This time, the Canadian singer was reportedly placed in a chokehold and got kicked out of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival Sunday night after a row with the security staff.

The Biebs was apparently trying to get into the artist’s area during rapper Drake’s festival-closing set, TMZ reported. The security-in-charge, however, refused to give him and his entourage access even after he and his entourage flashed their proper wristbands, because the area was already almost beyond its capacity.

The 21-year-old hit maker seemingly could not let the moment pass as he stubbornly argued that he was personally invited by Drake to watch his performance in the said stage area. He also insisted that there was no way he would watch with the normal crowd, for fear he would be “bombarded by fans.”

Because of his persistence, a Coachella staffer later on came up to escort Bieber and his team inside the VIP area. However, just as they were walking inside, a Coachella security guard came up from behind and placed Bieber in a chokehold, before ultimately getting booted out from the festival. TMZ has also posted a video of Bieber’s supposed row with the security.

On the other hand, sources close to the pop heartthrob claimed that Bieber voluntarily left the scene. His team is also considering to press charges against the security guard who manhandled him. The singer’s representative has yet to give a comment on the whole ordeal.

Earlier that day, the “Beauty and the Beat” singer was spotted hanging out with pals Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. The Biebs had been enjoying Coachella over the long weekend.

Bieber has had his share of public mishaps over the years. Just days before the Coachella incident, an Argentinian judge has ordered his “immediate detention” after failing to respond to summons following the allegations that he ordered his bodyguards to attack a photographer in a Buenos Aires nightclub back in 2013, The Huffington Post reported. The website also stated that he had been reportedly chucked out of a location twice before -- once in a Chicago nightclub for underage drinking in 2013 and in a Massachusetts movie theatre after being caught trying to get into a 21-plus only VIP area in 2010.
