Justin Bieber apologized to his millions of fans through the social networking site "Twitter" after the TMZ celebrity news web site posted the teen superstar's pot-smoking pictures. The 18-year-old Canadian singer was disbelievingly photographed smoking marijuana with friend Lil Twist on January 2 at California's Newport Beach Hotel.

Justin Bieber's apology simply means he is admitting truth to the leaked photographs. "Every day growing and learning. Trying to be better. You get knocked down, you get up," Bieber wrote on his Twitter account @justinbieber on Saturday.

The teenage pop singer continued to post a series of Twitter messages in an effort to somehow fix his damaged decent image. "Back on tour tomorrow. Ready to see u all smile. Time to do what I'm supposed to be doing. Performing. #BELIEVEtour. I never want to let any of you down," Bieber further posted. Justin Bieber also affirmed to his more than 30 million followers on Twitter that he is ready for the year 2013 despite a rocky start.

Justin Bieber's management team is obviously displeased with the leaked pot-smoking images of the young star. According to Us Weekly, the management team is determined in finding out who took the photographs as they question Justin Bieber's security personnel. The security guards in attendance at the party reported that no altercation happened when Justin Bieber was photographed smoking pot.

Meanwhile, TMZ's sources who are close to Justin Bieber claim that rapper Lil Twist is a powerful negative influence in the young Canadian singer' life and career. The sources also revealed that this may not be the first time that they smoked marijuana together.

This latest controversy adds up to the other scandal that also involves Justin Bieber. It has been previously reported that a paparazzo named Chris Guerra tragically died while taking pictures of Justin Bieber's white Ferrari on New Year's Day.
