The release of Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean” music video on Aug. 30 was filled with intrigue as fans questioned who the song was about. There were speculations that Justin wrote the song for his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, especially after viewers saw her name in the video scrawled on a wall. However, in a recent interview, Justin dismissed the speculations and instead talked about his relationship status.

Justin opened up about his personal life during a radio interview with Australia’s KIIS 1065 hosts Kylie Sandilands and Jacki O on Monday. When asked if he is “amazed” at how fans were able to pick out Selena’s name as graffiti in the video, Justin replied, “What do you mean?” In the video below, Jackie could be heard pointing out the location of the said graffiti to Justin, which was reportedly found at the corner of the screen in his “What Do You Mean” music video.

“What are you talking about, because I think that might be fake. What are you referring to? It wasn’t me that did that,” Justin explained.

In the same radio interview, Justin was also asked if he plans to bring someone special to Australia to promote his “What Do You Mean” single, to which he replied that he will be bringing “a friend” but didn’t specify who. However, Jackie prodded and asked if Justin was talking about being single and that there is no one special in his life now.

“I haven’t been in a relationship for a while now,” Justin replied.

When Kyle questioned why a young and successful pop star like Justin would want to be in relationship, the singer clarified, “I’m a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love, love cuddling. I love all that stuff.”

Justin brought up his past relationship with Selena when he added, “I got my heart broken. I’m just trying to let that heal up.”

Justin will be heading to Australia this month to promote “What Do You Mean,” and Pop Sugar has the list of cities the pop star will visit. On Sept. 28, Bieber will be in Melbourne’s Southern Cross Austero’s World Famous Rooftop for an all-ages concert. He will reportedly also visit the Sydney Harbour on Sept. 30 for the iHeartRadio Live Series.
