A familiar dinosaur will be back in “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.” After terrifying visitors of the park in the first film, the dinosaur will be back for more action in the sequel. Leaked pictures show the animatronics used for the creature. The following article contains spoilers.

Leaked pictures on the fan website JurassicWorld2Movie show the animatronics of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The producers are relying on practical effects once more to bring the massive dinosaur on screen. The picture shows the dinosaur locked in a small cage.

The report states that the T-Rex is actually Rexy, the dinosaur that appeared in the first film that started the franchise. The dinosaur can be seen as a captive in a small cage in the leaked pictures.

The creatures in the theme park were kept in a relatively large open space, with barricades around each enclosure. Now that the island is overrun, will a team of dinosaur-hunters go back to gain control? The small cage in the picture suggests that Rexy will be captured and perhaps transported to a new home. It played a crucial role in the 2015 film, taking on the powerful Indominus Rex. What part the dinosaur will play in the next film remains to be seen.

More leaked pictures from the set have been posted in a report by JurassicWorld2Movie. The pictures were taken in Hawaii by the local channel KITV News. The cast and crew were reportedly filming a storm scene that day.

Filming of “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” is scheduled to wrap this week. The movie is set to be released on June 7, 2018 in Australia. Chris Pratt (Owen), Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire) and BD Wong (Dr Henry Wu) are reprising their roles and Jeff Goldblum is returning to the franchise after a long time to reprise his role as Ian Malcolm.
