Judd Nelson is the latest celebrity to have become the victim of death hoax. The fake report claimed that the 55-year-old actor passed away last Sunday.

"St. Elmo's Fire" actor was found dead last Saturday night at the Sierra Towers, which is a condominium in West Hollywood, California," read the death hoax statement as propagated by foxnews.es. Foxnews.es bears similarity to popular news website Foxnews.com and this reportedly fooled the fans into believing that Judd has met his maker. Many of his fans took to Twitter and conveyed their condolences to the family whereas some wished for the news to prove false. The Twitter reactions can be seen here.

However, soon after the reports of Judd's fake death started trending his agent Gregg Klein addressed the death hoax rumours and said, "Reports of Judd Nelson's death are not accurate," according to Christian Post. Moreover, Judd's manager Jean-Pierre Henraux also dismissed the death rumours by suggesting that the "actor no more lives at the address" mentioned by the Foxnews.eu. The actor is reportedly in the pink of the health and has recently finished shooting for a film "Last Chance Holiday."

The actor is best known for his role in the film "The Breakfast Club." The movie went on to win MTV Silver Bucket of Excellence award in 2014. He was also known for his role of Alec Newbary in "St Elmo 's Fire." Since 2000 the actor has appeared in numerous TV series including "The Outer Limits", "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "CSI: NY", "Las Vegas", " Eleventh Hour" and others. Until 2010, he was also seen in recurring role with Charlie Sheen in popular sitcom "Two and a Half Man."

Apart from acting on television and films the actor has also co-written a script of a short film "The Spin Room: Super Tuesday." Much recently, he authored four books including "The Power of Speech", "Nine of Diamonds", "The Gig" and "Water Music". All the books were released on Kindle. The actor hails from Portland and comes from a family of lawyers. He also has two sisters, Eve and Julie.
