In fresh details emerging from the much talked about rant that Jose Mourinho launched on referee Phil Dowd, 51, after the New Year's Day defeat at White Hart Lane, it is now coming to light that the Portuguese manager accused the referee of being too fat while blaming him for their defeat. Chelsea's Brazilian left back Filipe Luis has talked about their perfect home record in an interview given to the clubs official website.

Several eyewitnesses have corroborated the fact the Chelsea gaffer lost the plot after the defeat to Tottenham Hotspurs and he chased referee Phil Dowd in the tunnel after the match. "You're too fat to referee, you should retire, you've cost us", Mourihno was heard shouting at Phil Dowd. Incidentally Mourinho is already facing an FA misconduct charge for this altercation as well as claiming that there is a campaign against Chelsea after a draw at Southampton three days before the defeat at North London.

Mourihno is said to have spoken to the referee after the match and calmed things down between the two. This incident was not present in Dowd's official match report. Mourinho however accused the referee of being too slow at the post match press conference.

One of Mourinho's idols Sir Alex Ferguson had accused Phil Dowd of being too slow in the past as well. It is rumoured that Dowd failed a referee's fitness test in May 2012, subsequently Premier League have stood by their official and claimed that he has passed the fitness test to referee in a Barclays Premier League match. Mourinho has to respond to the FA charge by 6 pm Tuesday.

Meanwhile Brazilin left back Filipe Luis has lauded Chelsea's amazing home record. The west London club have won all their home matches in this season. "It is very difficult to play against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and we feel really comfortable, we know how to play on our pitch," Luis told chelseafc.com
