A YouTube video titled “He Was Abandoned By His Parents And Now He Is a Hero!” has gone viral. The three-minute video features the story of Jono Lancaster, a man with a face disfigured by his inborn Treacher Collins Syndrome, a rare disorder found in almost 1 in 50,000 live births.

According to the “He Was Abandoned By His Parents And Now He Is a Hero!” video, Lancaster was abandoned by his parents at the hospital just days after he was born. His efforts to look for his parents later on only led to further rejections. He also grew up being bullied because of his appearance and struggled to make friends because of it.

However, Lancaster is now an inspiration to many others who have Treacher Collins Syndrome like him. He travels all over the world to visit children who have been diagnosed with the same disorder, which is characterized by deformities of the genes responsible for facial bone and tissue development.

For Lancaster, the reason why he was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome is for him to become an inspiration to others. Published on Feb. 7, “He Was Abandoned By His Parents And Now He Is a Hero!” has been viewed more than 800,000 times. Watch the inspirational video here:
