Johnny Manziel got fed up with a heckler and threw a water bottle at him in response. The Cleveland Browns quarterback was at the AT&T Byron Nelson Classic PGA Tournament in Irving on Saturday, May 30, 2015 where an 18-year-old fan started to harass him. Manziel was refusing autograph requests from the young male for about two hours during the third round. Manziel finally had enough, so he threw a water bottle at the heckler, according to a Yahoo Sports report.

The bottle missed the fan. Another person in Manziel’s company pushed the fan and police officers immediately prevented any further chaos. The fan and Manziel did not press charges, no arrests were made and no police report was filed. Spokesman James McLellan stated that it was unclear what exactly tipped off Manziel to cause him to throw the water bottle.

"He threw it toward him but it missed him and I think it was just as much fault on the part of the person that was heckling him to escalate things to that point. Johnny didn't really have any kind of a complaint to make. If he did, he didn't say anything,” McLellan said in the same Yahoo Sports report.

Manziel was recently released from rehab after spending 10 weeks in the facility. Johnny Football has been doing his best to stay out of trouble, focusing more on the field instead of wasting his time partying. Cleveland.com reported that LeBron James and James’ longtime friend Maverick Carter, have been aiding Manziel to set his priorities straight and focus on being a better quarterback for the team.

It is not actually the first time that Manziel was harassed by fans or got involved in an altercation. He has been at the Browns OTAs in May 2015 and is expected to take the second-team reps, while Josh McCown takes on the role of starting quarterback.
