Joan Rivers’ doctor has finally responded to the allegations about her role in the late comedienne's botched operation, leading to her untimely death. The doctor has denied all the accusations hurled at her, and has blasted the malpractice suit that she is facing.

New York based celebrity ENT-Otolaryngologist Korovin has been accused of causing the untimely dealth of Rivers due to her negligience. Also the lawsuit filed against her says that she was not supposed to be at the operation theatre in the first place.

For the first time addressing the accusations, Dr Korovin said that she did not cause the late “Fashion Police” co-host’s death last year, and she certainly did not pose for photos while doing the operation, which the new court papers accuse her of doing. She explained that she was not aware that the photos were taken on the day of the operation.

She also responded to a January lawsuit filed against her as well as four other doctors who were part of the operation. According to her, she had every authority to perform the transnasal laryngoscopy on Rivers that day because she was invited by Dr Lawrence Cohen at his Yorkville Endoscopy clinic to do so. She also said the anaesthesiologist Renuka Bankulla did not oppose the “flexible laryngoscopy being performed,” as was being claimed.

Rivers’ grieving daughter, Melissa, continues to remain vocal about the doctor. Speaking on a TV show in May, she said the whole tragedy was “100% preventable.”

Last month, she also shared how hard it was to deal with her mom’s death and why she needed to be strong. She said that from the time her mom went into a coma until she passed away, she could not grieve properly because she needed to take care of the things and jobs her mom left behind.

Melissa said that her mother was set to go on a European comedy tour, film episodes of “Fashion Police," promote a new book and had more things to do. She said that she could not just ask the vendors and producers to get lost as her mom would not have liked that. "My mother's biggest concern was that people spent money on tickets and for babysitters and to get their hair done to see her. Your obligation is to take care of the people who spent the money,” Melissa said. She added that when her father passed away, Joan made sure they tried to move on as gracefully as possible. She however, said that she does grieve. She can even hear her mom’s voice everywhere, as they have lived together for so long. But she is certainly not going to let that consume her, she said.
