Jessie J Admits Writing Miley Cyrus' Party In The USA Song Helped In Paying Her Rent
"Price Tag" and "Domino" hit maker Jessie J recently admitted that writing songs for other music artists helped in paying her rent. The 26-year-old English singer and songwriter revealed that her work on the "Party In The USA" song that Miley Cyrus made famous helped her in paying the rent expenses for years.
"You've got to write songs, that's where the money is, being an artist. Party In The USA paid my rent for, like, three years," Jessie J revealed to Glamour magazine, according to a Belfast Telegraph report. The singer further shared that writing songs for other music artists is where she got most of her earned money.
"I write songs. I'm a singer. I love endorsements and stuff, but that's all added on," Jessie J explained. The singer also revealed in a Mail Online report that she initially pitched the song "Party In The USA" to her label back in 2011 but the company decided that the song fits Miley Cyrus better.
"I recorded 'Party In The USA', played it for the label but they didn't think it was right for me. So they pitched it and two weeks later it was number one in six countries," Jessie J shared. When it comes to writing songs for other singers like Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys, Jessie J believes that all women sing about feelings.
However, the singer explained the female artists still express or sing about love, heartbreak, belief, sexiness or looks in their own way. "We're all singing about it and doing it," Jessie J shared.
In the meantime, Jessie J, whose full name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, enjoys the rewards of her songwriting work. The English singer and songwriter shared on her Instagram account isthatjessiej how she spent her Christmas vacation.

In another image, Jessie J shared to her more than two million followers on Instagram how she really started her Christmas Day celebration.
