"I just wanted something different. I wasn't going to mail it in," James said, according to People.com, giving emphasis on the idea that his book jacket should not look like any ‘bad prom photo’ or one that with a ‘serious Thinker pose’ that is normally seen in jackets at the book stands.

A look at James’ book cover showed the reality TV star going for an ‘old Western gunslinger’ holding his own .44 Magnum revolver.

The book said Jesse talks about his life not only with the “The Blindside” actress and the controversies he was in last year that eventually led to his divorce from Bullock.

"My life has been defined by many things and not just the events of the last year," Jesse James insisted according to People.com.

He also expressed hope that the public will appreciate his memoir. He said, "I just wanted [the memoir] to be a good story, a page-turner and hopefully people will see it as that."

The reality star maintained that this is the book that will tell the whole world who he really is.

“People claim to know everything about me, when they actually know nothing," he says. "But once you read this, you will know everything – the whole story, right here."

Published by Gallery Books, Jesse James’ memoir is expected to hit the market on May 3.
