Actor Jensen Ackles, who portrays “Supernatural” character Dean Winchester, recently shared on his official Facebook page a video message to the fans who voted for him at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards. “Supernatural” co-star Misha Collins, who portrays the angel Castiel in the CW TV series, made an appearance in the acceptance speech video to express gratitude and also congratulate Ackles.

Ackles won the “Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor” at the 2016 People’s Choice Awards ceremony held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles last Wednesday, Jan. 6. In Variety’s list of full winners, Ackles has defeated Collins, “The Vampire Diaries” actor Ian Somerhalder, David Tennant and Sam Heughan in the category.

On Ackles’ official Facebook page, the 37-year-old actor shared that the funny acceptance speech video had some of Collins’ best work. In the video, Collins handed over an electric kettle to Ackles as his 2016 PCA trophy.

Ackles started to deliver his speech but he had to gently tell Collins to step aside because his “Supernatural” co-star kept on standing next to him. Then, Ackles thanked the fans who voted for him as well as the other nominees and for showing support to their television work.

Ackles further expressed appreciation for his win and described the experience as something “inspiring.” Ackles concluded his speech with an assurance that he will share his victory with most of the other “Supernatural” cast members.

The synopsis of “Supernatural” Season 11, episode 10 titled “The Devil in the Details” in a melty.com report teases that Dean and Castiel will work together in investigating the angel smiting that could have killed Amara/The Darkness.
