If not busy acting or dancing, international pop star Jennifer Lopez is preoccupied with designing shoes these past few days. The 47-year-old Hollywood star has teamed up with Italian shoe designer Guiseppe Zanotti to produce a shoe line that will be unveiled at the Footwear Fashion Association in New York on Aug. 2 to 4.

The reality show host took to Instagram her announcement on the creative collaboration. A customer of Zanotti herself, J.Lo said she is “so excited about my collaboration with one of my favourite shoe designers.”

In an interview with Vogue, the “Love Won’t Cost a Thing” singer said, "I think it goes without saying that, like every other girl, I love a killer pair of shoes. Whether I'm walking the red carpet or dressed casually, the right shoes complete my outfit to make me feel beautiful, sexy, and fearless."

High heals, sparkle

When asked to describe the shoe collection, Lopez said, "Everything you would expect from the both of us -- bad-ass high heels with shapes that are fierce and, of course, have some sparkle!"

For his part, Zanotti said assured fans that the shoe collection will be “like Jennifer – sensual, sophisticated, modern but also playful and edgy.” The shoe collection will be available for sale on Zanotti’s stores and select retailers in January.

On top of her showbiz career, Lopez is also into retail business. She founded JLO, a clothing brand, in 2001. She also has a fragrance line with Coty, a fashion line for Kohl’s and a jewellery collection under Endless.

Lopez is partnering with NBC to produce a new talent show, “World of Dance.” This is apart from playing a major role on the NBC drama “Shades of Blue.”

Zanotti has previously collaborated with “Lemonade” singer Beyonce Knowles and Polish model Anja Rubik to create footwear line with him.
