Jennifer Lopez sizzled in a plunging short green dress and looked her best as she kicked off the Football World Cup on Thursday evening in Sao Paulo in Brazil with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte. The trio performed the FIFA song We Are One (Ole Ola) and gave a power-packed performance to the audience. JLo looked sexy in a sparkling green leotard dress which the Latin beauty teamed up with equally glittery stockings.

The "Waiting for Tonight" singer teamed up her sexy dress with equally seductive Christian Louboutin mesh and silver boots in shiny white colour. The singer gave her one hundred percent in terms of performance when she went on stage and was seen jumping in those high heels alongside Pitbull and Claudia.

"We are One" is the lead single from the "World Cup" album and is a follow-up on Shakira's 2010 anthem "Waka Waka." The trio mesmerized the crazy crowds at the stadium with their massive energy and an equally powerful performance where they encouraged everyone to join in the celebration.

As the trio concluded the opening song and walked around the stadium, the 44-year-old singer became a little emotional from the awesome response of the crowd. Hiding her tears, JLo thanked her fans and touched her bosom with her hands. While thousands of fans were happy to see Jennifer Lopez perform with Pitbull, critics are of the opinion that the two do not deserve to be chosen for it as neither of them is born in Brazil.

"As many have pointed out, the lead singers of the anthem this year, Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez, seem to have been chosen in the spirit of this kind of international unity, seeing as neither are actually Brazilian," writes Hadley Freeman from The Guardian.

"Pitbull was born in the US to Cuban parents and Lopez, albeit originally From The Block, is also American with Puerto Rican parents," the critic added.

The third singer Claudia Leitte was however the only Brazilian singer to have sung the song but she too was allowed to do it only for approximately 30 seconds.
