Jennifer Lawrence may have been the sexiest chic in the movies but you will be surprised to know that the girl with the svelte body was once ridiculed for being fat and was asked to lose weight if she wanted to have a career in Hollywood. The 23-year-old "Hunger Games" actress told Harper Bazaar's UK edition that she still gets furious when she recalls being called fat earlier in her career.

The American actress admitted that the insult of being fat hit her when she was presented with a semi-naked picture of herself and asked to lose weight with the help of diet plans at a very young age.

"I was young. It was just the kind of s**t that actresses have to go through," she told the magazine. "Somebody told me I was fat, that I was going to get fired if I didn't lose a certain amount of weight. They brought in pictures of me where I was basically naked, and told me to use them as motivation for my diet."

The actress who graced the cover of Harper Bazaar with crimson red lips and a see through top reveals that she was quite young when she entered the film industry and it hurt her sentiments back then but now she has gained her confidence after winning an Oscar and tells her critics to "go f-ck yourselves."

"They thought that because of the way my career had gone, it wouldn't still hurt me. That somehow, after I won an Oscar, I'm above it all. 'You really still care about that?' Yeah. I was a little girl," she explained.

"I was hurt. It doesn't matter what accolades you get. I know it'll never happen to me again. If anybody even tries to whisper the word 'diet', I'm like, 'You can go f**k yourself.'"

Lawrence, who is currently on the verge of filming the third and fourth instalment of "The Hunger Games" series alongside Liam Hemsworth, also revealed that she snacks on Cheez-Its.

Lawrence's full interview appears in the November issue of Harper's Bazaar UK edition which goes on sale on October 3.
