'Jelena' Couple to Judge on American Idol? [PHOTOS]

"Selenators" and "Beliebers" are in for a treat. The latest rumours claim that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber just might land a seat on the judging panel for the biggest singing competitions of Hollywood, American Idol. Will the "Jelena" duo be the next power couple for the show?

Mariah Carey of American Idol is slated to leave by the end of this season all thanks to her feud with co-judge, Nicki Minaj. Fans of the show should however not be disheartened because rumour has it that a power couple is set to replace Mariah Carey.

In hopes of boosting the ratings of American Idol, producer Nigel Lythgoe is aiming for celebrities Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Pink and Sean "Diddy" Combs as the next Idol judges. By the looks of it, Mariah Carey isn't the only judge who won't be coming back for season 13. Now, of all the choices in Hollywood why a new panel of judges including former Disney star, Selena Gomez and her beau, Justin Bieber?

"It's been a lackluster season for Idol and everyone involved with the show is well aware of it so that's why producers are franticly working on lining up big name stars for season 14. There's more drama going on behind the scenes of the show than on the stage, and that's why there's a major overhaul in the works," reports Radar.

"That's why they want to go big next season, you can't get any bigger than Justin Bieber. The executives are calling it their dream team because who wouldn't tune in to see Justin and Selena, Pink and Diddy? Pink has been approached in the past and turned it down as well as Diddy, who wanted too much money," continued the report.

Judging by how well "X-Factor" ratings have gone up all thanks to Demi Lovato and Britney Spears in the judging panel, American Idol hopes to have the same boost in ratings with the dream team, "Jelena" couple on board. The big question however is would Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber say yes to the offer? Money is apparently not a problem because producers of the show are willing to spend a fortune to have "Jelena", Diddy and Pink on board.

"If producers have it their way, Justin, Selena, Pink and Diddy will be sitting at the judges table next season and that's a powerhouse group and everyone would tune in to see," stated the report.
