She is 63 years old with 45 years of career in the entertainment industry and 100 plays to her credit. But the career of Australian actress, Jackie Weaver is about to turn for the better after her first nomination for Best Supporting Actress category for her role in "Animal Kingdom" at 2011 Oscars, albeit losing to Melissa Leo of “The Fighter” in Sunday’s event at the Kodak Theater.

Weaver’s career has just beginning and the Oscar nominations she admitted has opened a lot of bigger windows that will land her more higher-paying projects - - a welcome change after more than four decades in the industry.

One is the number of quality scripts landing on her doorstep, according to the Australian Associated Press.

“I must have read 12 or 15 scripts the past five weeks and I have had some firm offers on quite few things so I have to sort out my options and decide what to do,” Weaver was quoted telling AAP.

The projects noted AAP would allow the actress to cash in as much as US100,000 a film or $US60,000 for a television series episode.

But in order to get into any other project, Weaver needs to find a place to stay in LA. The actress is currently living at an inner-city Sydney with husband Taylor. And she had decided to look for LA house to accommodate as many projects as she could.

"I have been to New York probably 30 times since my first trip there in 1972, because I had romantic ideas about Dorothy Parker, the Algonquin Hotel and The Round Table, so I was a New York girl,” she said.

But with post-Oscar career, the veteran actress will be making one of the big changes in her life when she confirmed that: "I think I'll have to come and live here for a little while."
