'iZombie' season 3 coming this April; Major not seen in last promotional photo
Fans of the hit zombie series “iZombie" have all the reason to celebrate. The confirmation for the third season of the series has been released, and it looks like the old cast are still there for yet another season production of the series.
The cast of “iZombie” have recently come together to confirm that the third instalment of the series is on its way. A photo of the main casts of the television show together was posted with a caption saying “Zombies are coming back to The CW with the premiere of iZombie on Tuesday, April 4 at 9/8c!” via the official Instagram page of iZombie.
The photo revealed the five main cast of the series. Starting from the far left is actor Rahul Kohli, who plays Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti in the series. Beside him is actress Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka, who portrays the role of Peyton Charles. In the middle of the photo stands American actor Malcolm Goodwin, who plays the role of Clive Babineaux.
The main protagonist, Olivia "Liv" Moore (Rose McIver), is seen besiden Goodwin. To complete the all star promotional photo, David Andres, who played the original villain of the series, Baline Debeers, is also in the shot.
Actor Robert Buckley will once again join the “iZombie” cast as Major Lilywhite. The actor gave a quick teaser of his episode that is bound to appear on the third season.
He will be in an episode where his character and Liv are on “complementary brains.” This means that Major will think and act like a teenage girl, due to him eating a female teenager’s brain, and Liv is the teenager’s dad, due to her eating the father’s brain. The two of them set off to solve the case of the father and daughter who died in a car crash. For fans of Major, rest assured that he will be included in the upcoming season.
Season 3 will continue to follow the story of Liv as she faces new challenges. Along with these challenges is her eagerness to figure out why her friends are seemingly disappearing by the moment.
“ iZombie ” season 3 is noted to have a total of 13 episodes. It was also reported that the show is scheduled to finish the season at the end of June. With the new end show window, there is a possibility that the start of the season will be set around April.
