After facing tons of speculations and baby rumors, Prince William finally revealed that her wife, Kate Middleton is pregnant.

It was a joyful event for the British nation when the Duke of Cambridge confirmed that Kate Middleton is pregnant with their first child. The formal announcement came after the Duchess was taken on Monday to King Edward VII Hospital. She is expected to remain in the facility for several days because of severe morning sickness.

William was also the one to take Kate to hospital after she fell ill while they were staying at the Middleton's home in Berkshire, West of London.

Kate Middleton's pregnancy announcement was welcomed with joy by the public and the royal household. It was a moment they were all waiting for. The Royal couple said in a statement that both their families were "delighted" to hear the news.

"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news," their official statement said.

The palace said that Kate and William found out about the pregnancy just recently. According to the Press Association, the news was announced earlier than it was due because of Kate's medical condition.

It was said that the Middleton's learned about Kate's pregnancy over the weekend while the Queen only learned about it yesterday.

Kate is believed to be 8 weeks pregnant and others speculate that the baby might have been conceived during their vacation in France, where the topless photos of the Duchess were taken.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby will be third in line to the throne. Because of the changes in law last year, it is the first time in 120 years that the monarch will welcome a great grandchild who is also in succession to the crown.

Congratulations to William and Kate! The whole world is delighted for the "royal baby."
