A video surfaced on Weibo, a Chinese social network, confirms the problems in iPhone 7 that users have pointed out in the previous leaks. The video claims to show a dummy unit of the anticipated iPhone 7, which is rumoured to be announced this September.

The leaked video features the infamous protruding camera and missing earphone jack. iPhone 7’s protruding camera has been pointed out by netizens to be undesirable. The missing earphone jack has caused concern amongst users as well, as it makes the current earphones and headsets incompatible with the new iPhone 7.

In place of the earphone jacks, a second set of speaker grills are found. The antenna lines are redesigned to stick to the sides of the phone rather across the back.

Other changes, such as the increased storage, could not be confirmed in the video. The later part of the video compares the iPhone 6 and rumoured iPhone 7. Both phones appear quite similar at a glance. It does, however, seem to have the home button the leaks have claimed to be missing.

The lack of drastic difference of the supposedly iPhone 7 compared to iPhone 6 is a bit worrying. iPhone 6 has taken a heavy blow in sales because of the identical-looking iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Continuing the same pattern may prove disastrous for iPhone7.

There are less than two months till the speculated iPhone 7 announcement. All these supposedly iPhone 7 leaks may be proven false then. Apple might still surprise everyone with an iPhone 7 that is radical an iconic.

The new iPhone 7’s video capturing and camera may still be worth the upgrade when finally confirmed. The wireless charging may also prove game changing if, it comes with quick charging.

Other rumours claim the iPhone 7 will come in a 4.7-inch display and a 5.5-inch display. Speculations point to the 5.5-inch display being the “Pro” version of the iPhone 7.
