In the previous month, Apple iPhone 7 rumours have suggested the device would be sporting a ceramic shell. Now, the rumour mill is again claiming that the iPhone 7 will be arriving with ceramic chassis. Moreover, it is expected to house a larger battery.

Apple has previously manufactured iPhone chassis in different materials like metal, glass and polycarbonate. In addition, Apple’s patent filings have revealed the company may soon launch iPhones with ceramic chassis.

The Cupertino company was also expected to make use of liquidmetal material for the recently released iPhones. However, it has not used it till now mainly because of prohibitive costs, Apple Insider reported. The news about iPhone 7 ceramic chassis should be taken only as a rumour, as there is no official confirmation from Apple about it.

Another piece of information that has cropped through the supposedly leaked iPhone 7 battery photos from China suggests that the iPhone 6S successor will be sporting a larger battery. The leaked photo indicates that the iPhone 7 will be housing a 7.04 Whr capacity battery. The iPhone 6S has a smaller capacity battery of 6.61 Whr. Hence, the iPhone 7 is expected to deliver better battery life than the iPhone 6S, Mac Rumors reported.

Apple iPhone 7 rumours that have been swirling since past the few months have consistently suggested that the smartphone will not be featuring a 3.5 mm headphone jack. This will allow larger internal space for adding a battery bigger to the device.

Speculations indicate the Apple iPhone 7 will be announced in September this year. The company is also expected to launch iPhone 7 Pro smartphone that is rumoured to feature a dual-camera setup. The iPhone 7 models are expected to come with common features Apple A10 chipset, a Smart connector, stereo speakers, faster LTE connectivity, and redesigned appearance without antennae lines.
