Speculations are rife that after the success of launching two flagships, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, in this year, Apple is gearing up to launch two new handsets in the upcoming year. The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 6C are rumoured names of the smartphones that Apple may roll out in 2015. Both the handsets are expected to come out with enhanced specs and features.

Design&Trend reveals that according to Focus Taiwan, the Cupertino company is intending to construct a sapphire plant at the Henan Province of Central China. It claims that since Apple is facing financial issues in building a sapphire factory in the home country, it is considering constructing one abroad.

It further reveals that the new plant will be possibly used for building sapphire displays that will come with the iPhone 7 and probably the iPhone 6C in the coming year. The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus only make use of sapphire glass to protect the fingerprint sensor. Most of the currently available smartphones come with strong Gorilla Glass for protecting the display but sapphire glass is known to be stronger than Gorilla Glass, states IBTimes.

According to Design&Trend, the forthcoming iPhones will also support wireless charging. Citing Forbes, it claims that when the Apple Watch was launched, it was announced that it hinted on making use of new charging strategy. However, the Apple Watch does not support wireless charging. So, it suggests that newer iPhones may probably support inductive charging. Since other handsets like Galaxy S5, LG G3 and Lumia devices are enabled with wireless charging, Apple may finally opt to join the bandwagon.

Fresh speculations coming from a Taiwanese manufacturer indicate Apple may also rollout the iPhone 6C in 2015, says Design&Trend. It highlights that the iPhone 6C will sport a 4-inch display. It will be smaller than the iPhone 6 that comes with 4.7-inch display. The iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5 all feature a 4-inch display.

The iPhone 6C is speculated to feature A7 chipset and 1 GB of RAM fitted inside polycarbonate plastic like the iPhone 5C. It may be sold on-contract for free or price tag of $100. Moreover, Apple is also rumoured to launch the iPhone 6S in 2015.
