What exactly the iPhone 6 is on release date this 2014 and how much will it cost out of the box are again hinted by fresh information about the device's inner components plus the latest chatter from supply chain sources.

The inside of the next iPhone has been the subject of numerous leaks lately and the latest to come out, according to MacRumors, is the supposed bare logic board of the device, the images of which are originally published by NowhereElse.fr.

Ultra-fast Wi-Fi

The leaked pictures were reportedly supplied by a Chinese source and showed that one confirmed part of the smartphone is a Wi-Fi chip that conforms to 802.11ac wireless connection protocol. This would mean that from the iPhone 5S, Apple is bumping up the iPhone 6 Wi-Fi speed that is comparable to desktop.

Apple Insider dubbed the upgrade as significant - allowing iPhone users to access Wi-Fi routers with ultra-fast wireless Internet connection, provided the same specifications exist.

Mobile payment via NFC

Another revelation from the board is the likely introduction of near-field communication or NFC with the next iPhone. If indeed Apple will pack the iPhone 6 with NFC capabilities, it will be mostly for the tech giant's planned mobile payment services embodied with iWallet.

While the iPhone maker has been silent on the subject, Business Insider cites two indicators that point to the arrival of NFC on iOS environment. One is the recent hiring of Angela Ahrendts as Apple's retail chief, which suggests that the company is gearing for a bigger push on the sector with the iPhone 6 at the core of the effort.

Another is the claim, floated by a Venture Beat report, that NFC was originally designed for the iPhone 5S last but was delayed for necessary modifications.

Lower sticker price for iPhone 6?

Yet what could prove as the most interesting development about the next iPhone is the likelihood of the device having a lower tag price, when compared to high-end Android and Windows handsets, come rollout time.

This is a possibility based on a new report by G4Games that said Apple's rival device manufacturers are facing higher components prices, no thanks to the "unprecedented amount of iPhone 6 orders," awarded by the tech giant to supply chain players in Asia.

As a result, these suppliers - seemingly secured with Apple contracts - will be able to sell their products to other device vendors at more premium price that in turn could force the latter to hike the retail price of their products to maintain respectable profit margins.

So one scenario is even if the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 would start at $300, as analysts have estimated, its equivalents in the upscale smartphone market would be far more expensive, that is basing on the G4Games report.

This, of course, will only be confirmed come the iPhone 6 release date that likely will take place between September 19 and 26 this 2014, which according to reports is exclusive for the 4.7-inch model as the phablet-size 5.5-inch build will come later in accordance to Apple's marketing designs.
