It is evident that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6S are enjoying immense popularity and strong market sales, but it is also evident that some iPhone fans still prefer smaller phone versions. With speculations of the iPhone 6 mini, Apple might hit that portion of fans who would like to see the iPhone 6 in a smaller form factor.

The iPhone 6c as it is speculatively called, this mini iPhone could offer a better budget solution for those who are reluctant to switch to a newer version of the iPhone 6 due to the expensive cost. As supported by tech analysts Zacks Investment Research, the smaller phone is more likely to be sold at a lower cost than the iPhone 6, Yahoo! Finance reports.

A Taiwanese parts manufacturer also claims that Apple is indeed working on an iPhone mini that sports a 4-inch display and is set to hit the market sometime in 2015. However, there are no clear information on the specs of the said device. Rumours also suggest that the release of the iPhone mini might mark the end of the iPhone 5c in Apple's product line-up next year.

According to MacWorld's report, the rumoured release of the iPhone 6c mini will widen the tech giant's wide array of products because some customers prefer a smaller iPhone as compared to the huge iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. The possible launch of the mini version could also increase sales and market share, now people who find iPhone products expensive could have the opportunity to get a taste of what it's like to own an iPhone with the cheaper version.

So far it is still unsure whether the successors of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus might be named iPhone 6s or iPhone 7. Despite the uncertainty that there will really be a mini version that might be called the iPhone 6c, the rumours seem to kicking off. The latest among which suggests that there might be an iPhone to be launched together with the Apple Watch early in 2015 and there might be another one by the end of September next year.
