In 2014, Apple did something unexpected by launching not one but two large-sized iPhones, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. According to analysts, Apple will release a 4-inch iPhone 6 mini edition this year. The official name of the device has not been declared yet. Hence, the rumour mill is referring it with different names like the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Mini.

NASDAQ claims that the Cupertino firm is eager to release a mini version of iPhone 6 provided it guarantees at least 10 million units annually. Both the editions of iPhone 6 have helped the company to make record breaking sales. Still, there are iPhone owners who may still desire to use a small-sized iPhone. According to The Register, the iPhone 6 Mini will sport a slimmer chassis and similar design like the iPhone 6.

NASDAQ adds if the iPhone 6 Mini arrives in the market, Apple would be able to able to provide the buyers with a cheaper option for those who have not purchased the iPhone or the iPhone 6 Plus because of the expensive price tag. It further states that even though the official price and iPhone 6 Mini release date have not been disclosed, the smaller version will certainly come out as a midrange handset.

The current iPhones have been launched in approximately 115 countries and both the devices have gained great popularity across the globe. NASDAQ feels that the new iPhone 6 Mini will be able to take advantage of the increased popularity of the new iPhone 6. Apple is also expected to roll out the much awaited Apple Watch in early months of 2015.

The Apple Watch will arrive with plenty of interesting features such as Apple Pay and Siri. Currently, no other smartwatch offers voice assistant and mobile payment service. Apple has a massive loyal customer base that can help the company in achieving higher sales of Apple Watch. Nasdaq states that Apple has hired employees from well-known firms like Tag Heuer and Yves Saint Laurent in order to build a marvelous looking smartwatch. As of this writing, Apple has not released any information on the smaller edition of iPhone 6 and official arrival of Apple Watch.
