The tech giant's flagship device continues to monopolise the smartphone sales in Japan. According to the latest ranking published in BSN, the 64GB Apple iPhone 6 stayed on the top spot for two straight months. BSN is a Japanese website that tracks sales of different consumer devices on a weekly and monthly basis.

In September, the iPhone 6 ruled the charts in Japan garnering seven out of the top nine places. As far as this Apple device is concerned, the 64GB model is the one that got the highest demand. In the whole of September up unti the first week of October, the 64GB version of the iPhone 6 took three of the top five spots.

In October, there were six different versions of the iPhone 6 that landed on the top six smartphones sales in Japan. It is also worth noting that the three top selling smartphones for September, October and November have been different variations of the iPhone 6. On the other hand, Apple's 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is starting to capture the Japanese market by landing at the ninth spot last month.

For iPhone 6's November standing, Apple's flagship device has retained its lead beating other competitors in the market such as Sony, Kyocera and Asus. It even outshined other iPhone models like the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5c.

However, for some unknown reason, consumers who try to buy the iPhone 6 or even the iPhone 6 Plus through Apple's Japanese website are being advised that the smartphones cannot be ordered. Others think that it might be due to Chrome's translation of the site. This appears to be a direct contradiction to what the Japanese online Apple store recently revealed about the lead time for those ordering the hot selling devices online. The website even showed great decrease in the lead times for the iPhone 6 which have been made shorter and can only take from 3 to 5 business days instead of weeks, Forbes reports.

Looking back, Apple started selling the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the Japanese market last September 19. According to Mac Rumors, the iPhone 6 was indeed phenomenal in Japan by selling 10 million units in a span of one week.
