Recent alleged schematics of the iPad Air Plus were already published, which gave fans and spectators the idea that it might be packed with a 12.2-inch Retina HD display, Apple's next-generation A9 processor and a form factor which is just 0.1mm thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus and 0.9mm thicker than the new iPad Air 2. According to Macrumors, the schematics also suggested that the larger screened tablet might carry dimensions of 12inchesx8.7inchesx0.28inches.

The specs of the rumoured larger iPad present an impressive slate. However, it wouldn't hurt if a list of ideas or better yet, a wish list of possible features that the much speculated iPad Air might be taken into consideration.

Real Multi-Tasking

Obviously, users would like to have a device that will be able to keep up with their busy lifestyles. A major iOS update might deliver a real multitasking ability to the iPad. With the speculation that this rumoured version will sport a much larger screen, it will be a perfect showcase for the multitasking technology.

Major rivals like Samsung and Microsoft tablets already enable users to launch two apps side by side; however, the iOS platform still lacks this option. The said feature will allow users to browse the web on the first screen and at the same time watch a movie on the other screen or any task combination of that sort. Apparently, the split-screen feature has already been referenced on iOS 8 code, which means that it is more likely to be happening anytime soon.

Optional Keyboard Case

Currently, there are lots of Bluetooth-enabled keyboards which are compatible with iPads, but it would seem better if the tech giant would come up with iPad Air Plus' own keyboard. It would be perfect if Apple would create a top class keyboard that sports an aluminum unibody, plus a dedicated trackpad that could be used with an on-screen mouse.

Such concept is not impossible with Apple. A full keyboard is definitely a must-have in order to make full use of Microsoft Office apps, which are now available across Apple devices.

Multi-User Support

Android 5.0 Lollipop recently introduced support for multiple users for both smartphones and tablets. It would be nice to see that same feature added to the iOS. With the probability of having the Touch ID, the iPad Air Plus might allow different users to register using their fingerprints.

Slim Bezels

The iPhone 6 Plus has done a great deal with its huge bezels and just like other Apple competitors, fans hope that the next iPad will also sport a front face with huge bezels. Some users hope that Apple can apply the design of the iPhone 6 Plus to the new iPad but Apple can still come up with an entirely new industrial design.

OS X Yosemite and iOS 8

Sure enough, Apple has no plans of merging the iOS and OS X anytime soon. However, out of wishful thinking, it would be impressive to see Apple launch an iPad that is capable of dual booting both the iOS and OS X. But then again, with the rumour that the iPad Air Plus will be powered by the A9 processor, it might seem impossible for now since the A9 was designed to run iOS and not OS X Yosemite, Techno Buffalo reports.
