Fresh reports indicate that Apple has started working on iOS 9 that is expected to release by this fall to replace the iOS 8 operating system that was released in Sept 2014. The iOS 9 is currently being tested internally and its developer preview will be rolled out after few months before it is finally released in fall this year, states Cult of Mac.

The iOS 8 came out with plenty of new features like support for third-party keyboards, Continuity, Spotlight, Family Sharing, Health app and many more. Citing a Google Analytics report of a Czech technology website, PhoneArena reveals that Cupertino based tech giant is currently working on iOS 9. As Tim Cook had planned to release a new iOS and Mac OS build each year, the release of iOS 9 in this year seems imminent through the Google Analytics data snapshot.

If Apple continues to stick to its ongoing pattern for releasing iOS, the first preview of iOS 9 will probably get unleashed during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) that is slated to take place in June this year. Cult of Mac says after the showcasing the preview edition, Apple usually releases the early developer builds of the new iOS for testing and then the final version of the iOS is launched in the fall. It further adds that some employees have already started using the new iOS around two months after the iOS 8 was released.

According to MacWorld, the iOS 9 operating system will probably arrive preloaded on a new iPhone. The iPads that will be released after it will also feature the iOS 9. MacWorld predicts that the iOS 9 will be supported by iPads like iPad Pro, iPad Air 3, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4 and iPad 3. The iOS 9 is also expected to support the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5. It will support iPad Mini editions like undeclared iPad Mini 4, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Mini 2. Lastly, it also expected to support 5th gen iPod Touch.
