Intel Corporation launched a new family of Intel Core processors at the IFA trade show in Germany. The 6th Generation of Core processors will also help optimise Windows 10 features like Cortana and Windows Hello.

“New 6th Gen Intel Core-based systems are more responsive than ever with enhanced performance, battery life and security. And they can enable amazing new PC experiences like logging into your computer with your face and having a personal assistant respond to your voice,” said Kirk Skaugen, Intel senior vice president and general manager of the Client Computing Group in a press release.

The new Intel Core processors family will deliver enhanced performance and support the widest range of device designs including ultra-mobile compute stick, All-in-One desktops, two in ones and even new mobile workstations. Skaugen further mentioned that this might be the best time to buy a new computer with 6th Gen Intel Core processors and Windows 10.

Intel Core m3, m5 and m7 processors will be available for tablets 2-in-1 computers which will augment their performance. The Intel Compute Stick lineup will now include a version powered by the 6th Gen Intel Core M processor. The new range of processors significantly improves graphics performance to optimise 4K content, reports the BBC News.

Apart from that, the 6th Generation Intel Core and Intel Xeon platforms will also offer variety of new experiences like Thunderbolt 3 for USB Type-C.

Intel aims to bring more than 48 processors in the 6th Generation Intel Core processor family featuring Intel Iris and Iris Pro graphics in the coming months. The company will also deliver Intel Xeon E3-1500M processors for mobile workstations and 6th Generation Intel vPro for business and enterprises.
