iOS gamers of the hit DC brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile now has a 2.0 version, and it's bringing with it quite a number of heavy-hitting features, starting with the multiplayer battles.

In the update over at iTunes, the update will now allow players to see just how well they will fare against other Injustice players-and prove that your team reigns supreme. Gamers can now challenge others via Online Battles and the winner does have its perks.

Apart from this, there's a myriad of new characters coming in and WASDUK has screenshots of the new characters coming in the game. These include Teen Titan Cyborg, Animated Harley Quinn, Krypto Lex Luthor, New 52 Nightwing, Batman Returns Catwoman, Green Lantern Sinestro, Arrow Green Arrow and Shazam.

If that's not enough, the Injustice Mobile 2.0 also makes sure that no character becomes overpowered. So those who are thinking of using their Regime Wonderwoman all the time as a power generator would have to think twice about their strategy. It also makes sure that the additional characters do have pretty kickass powers that will make them a good addition to your teams.

In addition, there will be higher level caps for the characters, as well as additional gears to power up your roster even more. Touch Arcade reports that each character will get minor improvements via gears, which you can choose three ach per character. This pretty much solves the problem of similar characters only having skins for differences.

The big glitch: What it is and what to avoid

Of course, with the big major update comes an equally big major glitch. There have already been a number of reports of account suspensions, because of the anti-hacker system that the developer has created to guard against hackers.

While the system is a big welcome for gamers--particularly since you'll be playing in online battles, and it's just unfair to play against those with powered up cards via cheating--there are still glitches that include innocent gamers in the mix.

According to WASDUK, gamers are being herded into two groups, but not the accurate groups that you expect them to be. It seems that one needs to play the first battle once they enter the Injustice: Gods Among Us Mobile 2.0 so you can prevent your account from being suspended. This should be done before logging out, lest you get suspended even if all your cards were legitimately acquired.

This also means, sadly, that even hackers who fought their first match may still have their accounts working. Whether or not the first-battle-played method actually works for all is still to be confirmed, but as far as the account suspensions for those who have been unjustly suspended are concerned, the developer has already responded.

"In an effort to curb online cheating, the Injustice Mobile 2.0 Update contained several anti-hacking safeguards. We understand that these safeguards have blocked some players from the game who should not have been," said the developer over at the official Injustice Game Facebook. "We are working to fix the issue."

There are also speculations that those who may have grinded their characters to level 40 and upgraded them to Elite V may even have the danger of having their accounts suspended. For now, these are the issues on the iOS. But hopefully, these will be resolved before the update for the Android arrives.

One for the console; Injustice: Gods Among Us 2?

It's not just the mobile version of Injustice: Gods Among US that will be getting something by way of an update. Even though console owners of the title may be feeling left out--Darkseid was made available for the mobile version (which is essentially a free app), yet he's not available on the console versions--there's a rumour suggesting a second installment of the game.

IGN reports that a sequel may be available in the future, coming straight from talks during Wondercon. For now, developer NetherRealms has not yet announced any confirmations as of production of a sequel.

There are even talks that a Mortal Kombat game may even be produced and released before the sequel can be made, which means that a release date for an Injustice: Gods Among Us 2 may be far in the future. Still, it would be interesting, especially for fans of the console version who want more of their heroes and villains in a brawl.
