What could easily have been NSW's win was disrupted and snatched away by 33-year-old Wati Holwood who streaked naked barring a pair of colourful running shows across the ANZ stadium turf, agilely avoiding the security not usual for a man his size. The State of Origin series was yet again won the 8th straight time by Queensland after officials were forced to restart play in the form of a scrum and a set of six tackler after all the commotion had died down. It interesting to note that Wati has had practice, he had also run a similar course during the Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors NRL semi-final game at the SFS in Sydney in 2011. He will now be facing serious charged for obscenity and overexposure.

Here's a peak at some of the other infamous streakers who have plagued the sporting world of Australia!

Tackled by Symonds

Robert Murray David Ogilvie, 26, of Park Ridge South was shoulder-tackled by Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds during a one-day final against India in March 2008. Symonds - who once considered playing rugby league for the Brisbane Broncos - pole-axed Ogilvie when he invaded the Gabba pitch in the 10th over, with a policeman in hot pursuit.

Cartwheels at Lords

Sheila Nicholls found fame when she streaked and did cartwheels at the England vs. Australia cricket match at Lords in 1989. Since then she has becomes a successful singer-song writer with her song Fallen for You becoming one of the best-selling soundtracks of the film High Fidelity.

A Carlton scarf

And there was the legend, Adelaide stripper Helen D'Amico who famously invaded the ground during the 1982 VFL Grand Final between Carlton and Richmond wearing only a Carlton scarf and headed straight for Bruce Doull before being led away by the authorities.

Spanked by Chappel

Greg Chappel, incensed after streaker Bruce McCauley streaked a match between Australia and New Zealand in 1977, actually spanked the streaker with his bat. Bruce, from then on was known as the beaten streaker.
