Inbox by Gmail is getting an update which will make life easier for all. The Google email client will now be able to find information buried deep inside lengthy conversations.

“Starting today, Inbox includes a number of improvements to help you find answers even faster,” said Govind Kaushal, Product Manager at Google in a blog post.

Users can quickly access important information like addresses, membership numbers, flight confirmation numbers, check-in details and even courier tracking numbers in emails without going through individual e-mails.

The streamlined search results will be aligned in order according to relevance. The significantly smart search tool will now display detailed information at the top of search results.

Google will list all the e-mails that come up with the searched “keywords.” Apart from a list of emails, Inbox will come up with small cards or a quick answer box popping up, providing minute details like your frequent flyer number.

Inbox can also track phone numbers, bills, and event dates and venues through the updated search feature. This feature will be a huge help to those who often receive emails with such intricate details, and will help create a more systematic search for users.

Last month, a handful of Gmail users received requests asking them to try-out Google’s “Inbox by Gmail” service. The notification appears whenever a user logs into Inbox . It is believed that Google is in the process of migrating more users to Inbox.

Google introduced Inbox in October 2014. To date, the search giant has kept Inbox as a separate service. There are speculations that Google is eager to position Inbox as a replacement for Gmail, which was made available on Feb. 7, 2007. As of May 2015, Gmail has 900 million active users across the globe.
