Iggy Azalea has an ongoing court proceeding against ex-beau Hefe Wine. As the case progresses, more details are beginning to emerge from their statements.

The Australian rapper sued her ex-boyfriend for stealing her hard drive, which contained the music and other works she made in her teens. As the case involving the two unfolds, more shocking details are revealed.

Azalea declared in a sworn statement that his action of stealing her work was just an extension of the "terrible abuse he inflicted on her when she was a teenager" and had been a newcomer in the United States, as told by the Mirror. Azalea was then an aspiring musician, when she decided to shift her base from Australia to Texas. She was reportedly naïve and still in her teens at the time she met Wine.

As told in the court statement, the 24-year-old rapper then met Maurice Williams aka Hefe Wine, who introduced himself as a wealthy oil company owner and a record producer. During her early days of struggle, the 'Fancy' hitmaker reportedly ran out of money and was even contemplating the idea of going back to Australia.

Wine initially assisted her extensively to re-establish herself in the U.S., but soon made "aggressive and unwelcome sexual advances". Wine allegedly mishandled Azalea's career, as well as grew extremely possessive of her.

As per the court declarations, when Azalea disclosed that she wanted to cut off her ties with him, he started threatening her that he will ruin her career by using his contacts in the music industry. "[His threat] made me so fearful for my physical safety that I temporarily moved back home to Australia to get away from him", recalls the 2014 Grammy nominee in her court statement.

Azalea soon found out that Wine was married and has children. In addition, his ex-boyfriend had a criminal record. He also neither owned a record company nor have sufficient money. Azalea had further blamed Wine of stealing all the information from her personal computer, including the music she recorded in 2007 and 2008.

All the struggles failed to faze the zeal of the rapper, who is now among the most popular musicians with three Grammy award nominations in her kitty. Recently, she announced her upcoming tour 'The Great Escape', as well as hinted on the possibility of her second album. Unfortunately, Australia is not the part of the scheduled tour, which is a major disappointment for her fans back home.
