Who would deny a chance to dance in a music video with Britney Spears in it? Well, Iggy Azalea did and she has no regrets about it. The 24-year-old has co-directed the promo for "Pretty Girls,” one of Spears' upcoming music videos. The “Toxic” singer suggested Iggy to dance in the same video but Iggy refused.

“Since I was co-directing the video [“Pretty Girls”], the way I explained it was, it would be kind of obnoxious for me to direct a video and give myself a dance break as well,” Iggy is quoted as saying to USA Today in a recent interview. The singer was explaining her stance as to why she declined to dance alongside Spears in the video. The “Fancy” singer explained that there is a lot of dancing in the music video of “Pretty Girls” because Spears is really good at her dance moves.

“I don’t know if it necessarily fits my identity, but I think Britney’s identity is really embedded in being a dancer, and that’s something she really wanted to do as well,” Iggy said. However, the singer said that the music video is not “necessarily centered around that.” The website also adds that Iggy and Spears wore “big hair, leopard prints, ripped jeans and chunky jewelry” during the shoot of music video of “Pretty Girls” in Los Angeles last week.

The website asked the rapper if “Pretty Girls” music video has an 80s theme? Iggy replied that it is “a little bit more complicated than that” as the song they did is like “having a narrative.” Spears made it clear to Iggy that “she really wanted to do a video where she got to dress up and play a character.” That is when Iggy came with an idea of incorporating actress Geena Davis' modeling style in the video.

For Iggy, Geena is the “ultimate 80s pin-up hot, cool type of girl” and she got a yes from Spears too. Spears said that she loved Geena, so the two based their characters in the music video “on Geena Davis and characters she played in a lot of her movies at that time period.” The music video of “Pretty Girls” is scheduled for a May 5 release.
